Actimize to Support Integration with
Real-Time PC Identification Product from The 41st
Parameter
PCPrintTM
Technology Offers Banking and Government Customers Covert
Internet Fraud Detection and Prevention Capabilities
SCOTTSDALE, AZ. – November 29, 2006 – The 41st
Parameter, a leader in agent-less, covert fraud detection and
prevention for the online channel, today announced an
agreement with Actimize, Inc., a global provider of risk,
fraud prevention and compliance solutions to financial
institutions, to support integration of the Company's new
PCPrint technology. Actimize will add integration support for
PCPrint as part of its own transaction-based anti-fraud
solutions for the financial services and government markets.
With PCPrint, Actimize customers will have access to enhanced
capabilities to identify and track PCs and other devices used
for online fraud and identity theft.
“Device detection is critical, but knowing if
someone is testing a bank's front line defenses is just as
valuable,” said Ido Ophir, vice president of product
management, Actimize. “The 41st Parameter has critical
expertise combined with technology that can pinpoint
fraudulent account access – even when no transaction takes
place.”
PCPrint invisibly collects more than 41
machine parameters from any online device to generate a
digital “fingerprint” used to identify in real-time legitimate
versus suspect PCs visiting a Web site. The product can
differentiate individual devices regardless of past
registration, the credentials presented or the Internet
connection (IP Address). Capable of generating 1.461 Quindecillion (or 1048)
unique device “fingerprints,” the product can identify
legitimate versus suspect PCs with unprecedented accuracy.
As the world's first standard for precision PC
recognition to help online business combat Internet fraud and
identity theft, PCPrint can detect any type of PC, PDA, laptop
or mobile device connected to the Internet. The technology is
completely invisible to end users, and requires no user
enrollment or registration, nor does it require the use of
cookies, tags or software downloads.
“PCPrint brings a powerful device recognition
capability to customers that need to carefully monitor online
activity, transactions and account access,” said Ori Eisen,
founder and chairman, The 41st Parameter. “Offering
integration support with the Actimize platform will give banks
and government agencies alike another powerful weapon in their
arsenal against Internet fraud and identity theft.”
