Frank W. Abagnale
Frank W. Abagnale is one of the world's most respected authorities on the subjects of forgery, embezzlement and secure documents. For over 25 years he has lectured to and consulted with hundreds of financial institutions, corporations and government agencies around the world regarding document security and fraud issues.
Mr. Abagnale is a former professional impostor, and the author of the bestselling memoir, Catch Me If You Can, which was adapted to the Academy Award winning motion picture directed by Steven Spielberg, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks.
Mr. Abagnale continues his ongoing association with the FBI, lecturing extensively at the FBI Academy and for the field offices of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He maintains a position as an outside consultant on secure document issues for key players in the secure document and credit card manufacturing industries, including Standard Register - USA, Data Business Forms - Canada, and Leigh-Mardon - Australia and Pacific Rim. Other clients of Mr. Abagnale include Discover Financial Services, Inc., PRG-Schultz, Progeny, Trilegiant Corporation and Audemars Piguet. Mr. Abagnale is also an advisor to the Board of Directors of NuTech Solutions, Inc.
With first-hand knowledge and experience in exploring methods for altering documents and overcoming security measures Mr. Abagnale is now a respected authority in evaluating secure document features, techniques, practices and safeguards useful in combating fraud. To this end Mr. Abagnale designed the new ADP payroll check, which is issued 750 million times a year worldwide. He has designed programs that have been used by more than 11,000 financial institutions and corporations, and over 3,000 law enforcement agencies.
Mr. Abagnale has also designed programs for thousands of negotiable instruments including the IPS (Integrated Payment System) Official Check used by over 3,000 major U.S. financial institutions in replacement of their cashier's checks. In conjunction with a major West Coast bank, he designed and developed the SAFEChecks Program used by thousands of municipal and county governments. He has also designed the new SuperCheck, a highly secure personal check for consumers, available through check printers such as Liberty, and your local financial institution.
Mr. Abagnale has visited on-site to inspect and review the accounts payable operations of more than 65% of the nation's Fortune 500 Companies, while more than 14,000 financial institutions, corporations and law enforcement agencies use his fraud prevention programs. In 1998, he was selected as a distinguished member of "Pinnacle 400" by CNN Financial News.
Mr. Abagnale believes that punishment for fraud and the recovery of stolen funds are so rare; prevention is the only viable course of action.
Philippe Courtot
Philippe Courtot is currently the Chairman and CEO of Qualys, Inc. the market-leading Web Service Provider offering on-demand network security audits and vulnerability management.
Philippe Courtot has repeatedly demonstrated his talent for transforming small, innovative companies into industry leaders. As Chairman and CEO of Signio, an electronic payment start-up, he repositioned the company to become a significant e-commerce player, and in February 2000 VeriSign acquired it in a purchase transaction worth in excess of a billion dollars.
Prior to Signio, Mr. Courtot was president and CEO of Verity, where he re-engineered the company to become the leader in enterprise knowledge retrieval solutions and directed the company's initial public offering in November 1995. Philippe also turned an unknown company of 12 people, cc:Mail, into the dominant e-mail platform provider, achieving a 40% market share while competing directly against IBM and Microsoft, and successfully sold the company to Lotus in 1991.
In 1977, as CEO of Thomson CGR Medical, a medical imaging company, he received the Benjamin Franklin award for his role in the creation of a nationwide advertising campaign promoting the life-saving benefits of mammography.
In 2002, Mr. Courtot was elected to serve on the Board of Trustees for The Internet Society (ISOC), an international non-profit that serves as the focal point for global cooperation and coordination on the development of the Internet. French and Basque born, he holds a masters degree in physics from the University of Paris and has lived in Silicon Valley since 1987.
Inder P. Singh
Mr. Inder P. Singh has over 25 years of experience in the Information Technology and Banking Industry. Currently, he is the president of his company, Tacit Inc. that provides next level margin improvement, business process design, automation and consulting solutions.
Until April 2004, Inder was executive vice president and global CIO of Visa International with responsibilities to create the next generation payments processing technology and to oversee integrity, interoperability and security of Visa’s technology and processing infrastructure.
Before Joining Visa, Inder was president, CEO and co- founder of EXLServices, which offered outsourcing services for customer care and business processes. EXLServices was sold to Conseco Insurance.
Previously, Inder has served as COO for Card Capture Services, owner of the third largest ATM network and now a part of E Trade. Inder served in various senior executive management positions in Business and Technology at Bank of America and Seafirst Bank. While at Bank of America, he was executive vice president of Consumer Banking Product and Delivery Support, executive vice president of Payments Strategy and Interstate Banking and executive vice president of Global Wholesale Technology.
Inder holds a masters degree in industrial engineering from the University of Washington and a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from Punjab University.
